Childcare Copilot is built to hold the most intimate kind of data: the daily life of your child. We take that responsibility seriously. This page explains exactly what we do and do not do with your family's information.
We never use your data to train AI models
Your caregiver's emails, your child's logs, the photos, the milestones, the patterns we observe. None of it is used to train any AI model, ours or anyone else's. When AI runs on your data, it runs privately and the output is for your family alone.
We never sell or share your data
Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to other parents, not to anyone. Your child's daily life is not a product we sell. Your data stays with us only for the purpose of running the service you signed up for.
You can take your data with you at any time
Settings includes an Export my data button. You get the full record of your family in JSON format, ready to move, print, or keep. If you ever leave Childcare Copilot, you leave with everything.
Deletion is simple and reversible for seven days
Settings includes a Delete my account option. We send a confirmation email with a 7-day cancellation link. After that window, every log, milestone, insight, and report is permanently deleted. No archives, no backups kept beyond seven days.
Your caregivers know what happens with their emails
Every caregiver added to an account receives a welcome email explaining how their messages are processed. Their status page at caregiver.childcarecopilot.ai includes the same information. Caregivers can contact us directly with questions. This is not hidden from the people whose work makes the product run.
Your child's history stays with your family, not your caregiver
When a caregiver leaves, every log she wrote and every milestone she captured stays in your account. The next caregiver picks up exactly where the last one left off. This is why families use Childcare Copilot.
Your data is encrypted and access-controlled
Everything is encrypted in transit and at rest. Only you and people you explicitly add to your account can see your family's records. Our database has row-level security on every table so no accident or bug can cross families.
Email forwarding inherits the security of your email account
When you set up auto-forwarding from your personal email, your Copilot inbox inherits the security of that email account. We recommend enabling two-factor authentication on your personal email to protect your child's care logs.
